Ankh Theb Round 2 Proposal By Bradley Rose

I chose to feature two mechanics: unearth and triad. The afterlife matters in Egyptian lore, and it is reflected through the exile zone in this set. I've paired unearth with a mechanical theme that makes sending these creatures into exile something to be desired. Also, by fixing the wording on triad, players are not discouraged from casting all their spells with triad.

A creature that has already been declared an attacker during the turn you cast this means that creature is eligible even while attacking. This spell is meant to be able to be both used defensively (like two Curtain of Light in one) and offensively (when you exile your own unearthed creature after combat to have it stick around and to trigger the "when this is exiled" mechanic).

Flying, vigilance

A mummy that breaks free of its bandages and able to spread its wings and fly. The mechanic triad itself needs counters to keep track of whether you want something with triad to enter the battlefield with triad "turned on." Otherwise, without counters, you would be stuck not wanting to cast your triad spells when you already have three permanents with triad turned on.

When one of your triad permanents are destroyed, you'll likely have just two permanents with triad counters. You might, though, have permanents with triad that don't have counters at a particular point in the game.
